Frequently asked questions

Is the soy wax 100% natural?
Isle of Skye Candle Co. candles are made from a blend of soy wax and botanical oils, not pure 100% soy wax.

Is this candle vegan or cruelty-free?
The ingredients are plant-based, but Isle of Skye Candle Co. does not carry an official vegan or cruelty-free certification.

How do I get the most out of this candle?
On first use, let the candle burn for at least 2 hours so that the entire top layer melts, and trim the wick to about 5 mm before each subsequent use.

In which sizes is Lemongrass available?
At Mood Company, Lemongrass is available as Large (45 hours), as Tin (30 hours) and in this Small version (30 hours).

Is Isle of Skye Candle Co. a sustainable brand?
Yes: since 2015 the company has run on 100% green electricity, and since 2012 it has used only LED lighting in its workshop on Skye. The manufacturer's Recycling Reward programme only applies to direct orders in the UK, but the glass and tins are perfectly reusable after use, for example as a pen pot or tealight holder.
